Pick an actor/musician/model/celebrity/etc. that has adequate source material that places the actor in the same age range as your character visibly. Basically, pick actors that look the age of your character. If an actor looks old enough to be a professor, he is too old to be your character. If they look young enough to be a Mouseketeer, then they are too young.

Other guidelines for Played By selection:

• PCs are the priority. Do not choose actors, etc. that would make good played by choices for a PC as an NPC played by.
• NPC played bys are not considered out of bounds for choice as a PC. If an NPC played by is requested by a PC applicant, within reason, they will receive permission to use it.
