Setting:Timeline
From Literepetition
Since the game is beginning at the real-time start of a spring semester, which would entirely gloss over the very-important first semester of our characters' college careers, we've instituted a temporary vagueness in timekeeping.
We're playing the first, fall semester of college now, over the realtime spring. This summer, we will play out the second, spring semester. There is a certain amount of give in the timekeeping during this period, as players will be allowed and encouraged to actively roleplay out scenes from backstory, etc.
As of September 9th, 2009, that 'give' will tighten up, and gametime will officially parallel realtime with the beginning of the fall semester for our characters' second year of college. After this date, the following timing rules will apply:
In-game events take place in the current day, and game time runs 1:1 with real time. Because there will of course be scheduling conflicts between players, we don't require that events that take place on a certain day be actually roleplayed on that particular day. Often, a single scene will span a couple of days or more of realtime, and that's fine. Events will be assumed to take place on the day that the scene began.
Retroactively placing scenes is also permissable, within reason: check with a moderator, please, before doing so, to ensure smooth game continuity.
