A brief explanation of acronyms, terms and phrases that may need clarification. Eventually, we'll alphabetize it.




PB: Played By. This is the actor/model/whoever image that you will use as the 'face' for your character. Think casting for a movie.

IC: In Character. The fictional person you're playing in the game. Also, information your character's aware of, and his or her behavior.

OOC: Out Of Character. You, yourself, outside of the person you're playing. Also, information you are aware of that your character may not be; your own behavior.

LJ: LiveJournal. The website upon which character journals are hosted and where a large chunk of RP takes place.

Elwood Dowd Preparatory Academy: Backstory/setting for characters which were grandfathered into Literepetition from its predecessor RPG, Negability. A high-school level, private prep school which several current characters attended together.

Negability: A now-defunct RPG in which several current characters met and interacted before the Literepetition iteration of the game.

PC: Player Character. A main character in the game, actively played and only contolled by a single person.

NPC: Non-Player Character. A secondary character in the game. May be played by more than one person.
