[edit] On Campus
A fairly popular option on campus is to become a registered tutor in any subject field, which guarantees regular pay from the school though it requires logging hours and filling out paperwork. Some students opt to tutor, but not to be registered. Other students opt to tutor, but don't necessarily do it for money.
PCs, Registered Or Unregistered:
- Ian Fleming (languages)
- Ernest Hemingway (French, Spanish)
- Omar Khayyam (math, Arabic)
- Harry Sinclair Lewis (German)
- Howard Lovecraft (literature)
- Ezra Pound (languages)
- Helen Potter (math)
- Sappheire Scamandros (piano)
- Ashwin Sun Wu (math)
- Ron Tolkien (languages)
- Jules Verne (physics)
Being an RA is not a job in the sense of receiving regular pay, but it does save a hefty sum of money on housing fees, so it's kind of like being paid.
PCs:
- Will S. Arden (Astor, formerly)
- Victor Hugo (Astor, current)
- Lucy Maud Montgomery (Bartos, formerly)
Campus security hires students who are over 21 to be part-time security guards.
PCs:
Undergraduates who demonstrate marked knowledge or expertise in a particular field may be eligible as paid assistants for professors, graduate students, or on-campus labs.
PCs:
- Ailey Huxley: teaching assistant for an Introduction to Plato class.
- Ron Tolkien (translation from Gothic, for graduate student Paul Lightley, NPC)
[edit] Off Campus

Some students are employed out of town on a limited schedule, often the weekends only, but not necessarily. This would include...
PCs:
- Dylan Thomas (WXXI, Rochester)
