Adding a character page is fairly simple once you know which templates to use and how to format the page. Each section of the character page will be dealt with in its own section and at the end will be a blank form that can be used to at least start the process.

[edit] Vital Statistics
The first thing that will be added to the character page is a template that contains the basic vital information about the character. It will look like this before you add your information:

The image should be just the name of the image that you uploaded for this purpose (to find out info on character pictures, please see this page) and not a link as it will link to the image for you. The name should be the character's full name, horrible middle name and all. For the livejournal name, just include the user name as it will create a link to the blog for you. Age should be the current age of the character. Birthday is the full birthdate of this incarnation. Hometown should be where they called home prior to college. Major is their major at the present time, it can change or even be undecided. For a list of majors, see this. Year is how many years they have been in school, if they are freshmen for example, the number is one. Residence will either be something like 'a house in town' or 'Bantam Chase Apartments' or 'Heidi Fleiss Residence Hall for Loose Women'. Residence halls are listed at Housing. Orgs is simply a listing of their extracurricular activities. A listing of possible activities for this can be found at either the student orgs listing or at the athletics departments. Themesong is optional, but is a song that sums up the character's personality. Quote can either be something they said IC, something someone said about them IC, or just a quote in general you feel is appropriate. The playedby is the name of the actor or actress that portrays them. It should be linked like this: [http://imdblinkfortheactor Actor's Name].
[edit] Basic Biography
This is the public edition of the character's biography. This should include information that is easily publicly available. If something would've made the newspapers, could be discovered through a call to the registrar, is found in their high school yearbook, or can be found via a quick trip to Google, it should go here. Sample information is where they're from, what their high school was, if they participated in athletics or won a spelling bee, or their parents names and what they do for a living. This can be formatted into sections like 'Childhood', 'High School', or 'Family' if you like. The internal format is entirely up to you and the content is as well. In order to set sub-categories inside this section, you can do it like this:
=Basic Biography= This is about my cool PC! ==Childhood== I was born. I drank a lot of milk and wore diapers. Then, I got teeth! I eventually learned to walk and eat solid food. That rocked. ==School Days== I went to school like all kids do. I ate cafeteria food and played on the playground. I did well in school and managed to take calculus in the fifth grade. I was so awesome. ==High School== I was the hottest person in my school. No really. I played baseball, was in the Key Club, and was homecoming king. Seriously, who wouldn't love me? ==Special Awards== I was named by Tiger Beat Magazine the coolest teenager in the world in my senior year.

This is a brief section detailing just what might be said about you if people talked to your roomies or your hall monitor or your faculty advisor. If people talk about you, what do they say you're like?

This should include rumors that are floating around campus or town. It could be 'So and So eats green beans with ants in them!' or it could be a general rumor that you're buying your term papers from the Physics team.

Do you play pool with Bob Fortney from Lawrence, Kansas? Do you date Buffy Biggerstaff from the cheerleading team? Basically, who are your friends? Who do you date? If we ran into you in the student center, who would be with you?
