[edit] Spread The Word
LitRep is a great game, and its structure allows it the freedom to expand. It's a public game, and moderators are reviewing applications from any interested player over the age of 18. If you're enjoying the game, we encourage you to spread the word. Word of mouth is, after all, one of the best methods of advertisement, and we know that good roleplayers know other good roleplayers.
So please feel free to advertise the game. You may use the example below- feel free to cut and paste wholesale- or scribble your own note of recommendation if you would rather. We ask that if you do the latter, that you include at the minimum a link to the wiki, another to the LJ community, and the general moderator contact email address mods@literepetition.net.
[edit] Steal This Ad
If you want to advertise and don't feel like writing your own copy, please feel free to nick the following info and paste it wholesale:
Love to read? Especially the classics? Like a game with a bit of an intellectual bent (and we do mean bent)? You should come play with us, then. Literepetition is an RPG based in literature and the written word. Set in a small college town in modern, upstate New York, its characters are the reincarnations of some of the greatest authorial minds to have passed away prior to the current day. The loose metaplot, involving occult and metaphysical forces, gives a rough explanation for this occurrence, but gameplay finds the bulk of its focus on smaller subplots between characters, with player-created storylines strongly encouraged. Its supernatural elements, however, thread themselves through the setting, the characters and the plot. Detailed information can be found at the Literepetition Wiki, including an FAQ, wanted/taken character lists, and moderator contact information. Come on. You know you want to.
